The budget wired-in retrofit option: this two-channel WiFi relay switches to 'roller shutter' mode and drives any existing corded/wired blind or curtain motor from behind the wall. HA's native Shelly integration talks to it directly over the LAN with no cloud round-trip, and it's a fraction of the price of the Z-Wave alternative here — the trade-off is WiFi congestion on a busy 2.4GHz network instead of a dedicated mesh. Needs a neutral wire.
