Arlo's 2K+ HDR battery camera with a built-in spotlight and siren, around £169 for a single camera. The catch is cost of ownership: stored video and smart detection need an Arlo Secure plan. It suits those who live in the Arlo app; for Home Assistant, Reolink or Tapo are much easier.
What can Home Assistant control on the Arlo Pro 6?
| Control | Type | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Camera | Camera | Snapshot or stream via the community integration, if supported |
| Motion | Binary sensor | Motion event via cloud polling |
There is no core Home Assistant integration for Arlo. The community aarlo HACS integration polls Arlo's cloud and has had login problems. Pro 6 support is not confirmed, so test before building automations. Treat this as cloud-only with no local RTSP.

Frequently asked questions
- Does the Arlo Pro 6 work with Home Assistant locally?

- The Arlo Pro 6 uses Wi-Fi. To pair it with Home Assistant you need no hub — it joins your Wi-Fi network directly. Arlo's own hub is not required when you integrate through a community integration installed through HACS.
