Unlike Reolink's Duo 2/Elite dual-lens cameras, the S340's second lens is a genuine motorised PTZ, not a fixed wide-angle pairing - it can slew toward a specific gate or gap instead of just widening the frame. That flexibility comes with integration risk: HA support is the community eufy_security HACS project, which breaks whenever Anker changes its cloud API, versus the Reolinks' officially-supported native integration. Power differs too - battery plus a 2.2W solar panel skips the mains run, but polling is duty-cycled so sensors lag more than the Reolinks' always-on wired feed. Best where mains isn't an option and real PTZ reach matters; otherwise buy the Elite WiFi.

Because the second lens is a genuine motorised pan/tilt unit, not a fixed dual-lens composite, the S340 exposes real PTZ camera services in HA, so automations can slew the downward lens toward a specific zone rather than just switching a view mode. The underlying client library carries a distinct solar-charging state separate from plugged-in or battery-only, giving a real signal for panel output rather than inferring it from battery-level trend. Being battery/solar-only with no wired fallback, its connection and property polling are more duty-cycled than eufy's wired cameras, so battery, signal, and charging-status sensors can sit stale for longer stretches between motion-triggered wake events and shouldn't be treated as live telemetry for time-critical automations.
