At £49.99 the E1 Pro is close to the Tapo C225 while matching its pan/tilt ambition (355° pan / 50° tilt vs the Tapo's 360°/149°) — but the real edge is Reolink's Home Assistant integration, which exposes PTZ, presets and patrol natively with zero HACS add-ons, unlike the Tapo which needs a community plugin just to get pan/tilt working at all. Night vision reaches 12m, plenty for a single room, and it has built-in two-way audio like the Tapo but with a longer IR range (the Tapo tops out at 9m). Best pick for a hallway, nursery or living room where you want real local pan/tilt coverage without a subscription.

Because the E1 Pro has real mechanical pan/tilt rather than a fixed lens, the integration adds a PTZ preset select entity (auto-populated from names set in the Reolink app) and a PTZ patrol switch that runs a tour between saved presets — both require an integration restart the first time you add presets or patrol points before they show up. Auto-tracking is exposed as its own switch plus a track-method select and left/right limit controls to fence how far the camera is allowed to swing. There's also a PTZ calibrate button, included because budget PTZ motors like this one can drift out of true position over months of use — something fixed-lens Reolink models never need. Being Wi-Fi-only and mains-powered, it skips battery-camera sleep/polling quirks entirely, but PTZ commands ride live over Wi-Fi rather than a wired PoE link, so move/patrol responsiveness is more sensitive to signal strength than on Reolink's PoE PTZ models.
