Verified September 2026

One of the few outdoor Wi-Fi cameras officially certified Works with Home Assistant (Reolink's April 2025 Platinum partnership), the TrackMix WiFi is our premium pick: 4K dual-lens auto-tracking, streams, AI detections and PTZ all handled locally on your LAN. At £169.99 it's roughly 65% more than the fixed-lens Duo 2 WiFi and around 20% more than the budget Elite WiFi — a premium that's earned, not padding: it's the only camera here with a motorised lens that physically follows a subject while a second wide lens keeps full-scene coverage. Worth it for a large garden or driveway where subjects cross at distance; overkill for a front door. No subscription, mains-powered only.

ControlTypeWhat it does
Wide lens cameraCameraStatic overview stream from the fixed wide lens — never pans, tilts, or zooms, so it keeps a full-scene view even while the tele lens is off tracking a subject.
Auto trackingSwitchEnables motion-following on the tele lens only; toggling it has no effect on the wide lens's independent stream.
Auto track methodSelectSets whether tracking crops digitally within the current zoom frame or physically slews the tele lens toward the subject.
PTZ zoomButtonDrives continuous optical zoom on the tele lens until stopped or the hardware limit is hit; only applies to the tele channel.
PTZ patrolSwitchCycles the tele lens between saved presets; an active auto-track lock interrupts the patrol and the lens doesn't reliably resume from where it left off.

The Reolink integration exposes the TrackMix as two independent camera channels, not one: a fixed wide lens with its own always-on stream, plus a separate PTZ telephoto channel with pan/tilt/zoom controls — auto-tracking only ever moves the tele channel, so the wide feed keeps full-scene coverage even mid-chase. An auto-track method select governs whether the hybrid zoom crops digitally within frame or physically slews the tele lens, and reported zoom position gets noticeably less precise once it crosses from optical into digital cropping. Because the two lenses are separate entities, it's easy to point a PTZ automation at the wide-lens camera by mistake, where preset/patrol calls silently no-op since that lens has no motor; running PTZ patrol alongside auto-tracking is also unreliable, since a tracked subject interrupts the patrol route and the lens doesn't consistently resume from the same point.
