Our verdict
TP-Link's flagship Wi-Fi 7 mesh with 10Gbps ports. It is an expensive buy at nearly GBP 790 for a 2-pack, and only sensible if you have multi-gig internet or a wired backhaul to use it. For a normal UK house the BE65 does most of the job for well under half the price.
What can Home Assistant control on the TP-Link Deco BE85?
No core Home Assistant integration covers Deco. The community HACS integration tplink_deco (amosyuen/ha-tplink-deco) polls locally for device trackers and CPU/memory diagnostics plus a reboot service, but it is in maintenance mode and one community report says it broke after HA 2026.3.4; the separate tplink_router custom integration is not Deco-specific. Treat presence tracking as best effort. Support for the BE85 specifically was not verified.
