Aqara Presence Sensor FP1E

Zigbee2MQTT / ZHALocal control
  • Zigbee

Verified July 2026

The sensible mmWave presence pick at half the price of the FP2: single-zone only, but it pairs straight to Zigbee2MQTT or ZHA over Zigbee so you can skip the Aqara hub the box insists on. Mains-powered via USB-C, so plan for a socket nearby.

Unlike the pricier FP2, this one reports a single unified presence state across its whole 6m cone rather than per-zone regions — there's no zone/region config to split rooms with. It also has an unconfigurable roughly 30-second hold-off after someone leaves before presence clears, so automations should build in a buffer rather than expect an instant off. Being USB-powered rather than battery, it's a good candidate for a watchdog automation that force-restarts it via its exposed restart action if presence hasn't updated in several hours.
