The cheapest sensible bedside presence sensor in this batch at £28, and it comes in an injection-moulded case with a USB-C cable, unlike the bare One board. The LD2450 gives X/Y positions for up to three targets and four user-defined zones, so a zone over the mattress is easy; there is no PIR, no temperature or humidity, and range is 5-6 m, which is plenty for a bedroom. Because it relies on a single moving-target radar tuned for tracking, still-in-bed detection is weaker than on the Pro's static module, so test it with the lights off before trusting it to hold a room.
What can Home Assistant control on the Everything Presence Lite?
| Control | Type | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Presence / zones | Binary sensors | mmWave occupancy plus up to four user-defined zones configured from HA. |
| Target position | Sensors | X/Y, distance, speed and angle for up to three targets from the LD2450. |
| Illuminance | Sensor | Ambient light level for dark-room conditions. |
ESPHome firmware auto-discovered by HA; certified Works with Home Assistant per HA's 27 Oct 2026 blog, which also says all three Everything Presence models run local with no cloud. Zones are defined in HA, and it doubles as a Bluetooth proxy. The only environmental reading is ambient light, so for bedroom temperature or CO2 you need a separate sensor. Position data suits 'left the bed' and 'in the bathroom doorway' triggers for night-time path lighting.

Frequently asked questions
- Does the Everything Presence Lite work with Home Assistant locally?
- Yes. The Everything Presence Lite is controlled locally in Home Assistant through a certified "Works with Home Assistant" integration (esphome), so it keeps working if your internet connection or the Everything Smart Technology cloud goes down. Control and state updates stay on your own network.
- Which protocol does the Everything Presence Lite use, and do I need a hub?
- The Everything Presence Lite uses Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. To pair it with Home Assistant you need no hub — it joins your Wi-Fi network directly; or a Bluetooth adapter on your Home Assistant host or an ESPHome Bluetooth proxy. Everything Smart Technology's own hub is not required when you integrate through a certified "Works with Home Assistant" integration (esphome).
