Our verdict
A one-box music system with HDMI ARC, optical, RCA and a built-in moving-magnet phono stage, so it doubles as a TV soundbar replacement and a turntable amp. For Home Assistant the route is indirect: Audio Pro does not have its own integration, but the speaker supports Google Cast (and AirPlay 2), and Home Assistant has a built-in Google Cast integration. So you get a media player for casting audio and TTS, not a bespoke device with Audio Pro-specific controls. Treat that as an inference from the Cast support listed by the retailer, because we could not load Audio Pro's own page or test the speaker in Home Assistant. UK pricing varies a lot, and Richer Sounds listed the grey one at £515 when checked.
What can Home Assistant control on the Audio Pro C20 W?
| Control | Type | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Speaker | Media player | Play, pause, volume and mute, and send media or TTS announcements over Cast. |
Appears in Home Assistant through the built-in Google Cast integration (local polling), as a media_player you can send audio, radio streams and TTS to. The Cast page's caveats matter here: discovery needs mDNS and the speaker on the same subnet as Home Assistant (VLANs or a guest network will break it unless you use known hosts), and media URLs must be IP-based or publicly resolvable, not .local names. Do not expect Audio Pro-specific entities such as input selection, EQ or the Audio Pro multiroom groups; those stay in the Audio Pro Control app. The community WiiM/LinkPlay integration names several Audio Pro models but not the C20, so do not rely on it for this speaker.

Frequently asked questions
- Does the Audio Pro C20 W work with Home Assistant locally?
- Yes. The Audio Pro C20 W is controlled locally in Home Assistant through a built-in Home Assistant core integration (cast), so it keeps working if your internet connection or the Audio Pro cloud goes down. Control and state updates stay on your own network.
- Which protocol does the Audio Pro C20 W use, and do I need a hub?
- The Audio Pro C20 W uses Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. To pair it with Home Assistant you need no hub — it joins your Wi-Fi network directly; or a Bluetooth adapter on your Home Assistant host or an ESPHome Bluetooth proxy. Audio Pro's own hub is not required when you integrate through a built-in Home Assistant core integration (cast).
