Our verdict
Google's first new smart speaker in years, built around Gemini for Home, at £99.99 from the Google Store UK. It comes with a 30-day Google Home Premium trial; Standard is £8 a month or £80 a year after that, and the better Gemini features sit behind it. I could not verify any Home Assistant integration path for it, so treat it as a Google Home speaker, not an HA media player.
What can Home Assistant control on the Google Home Speaker (2026)?
No Home Assistant integration was verified for this speaker. Whether it supports Google Cast (which HA's local-polling cast integration uses) was not confirmed.
