IKEA's 2026 KAJPLATS range replaced Trådfri with Matter-over-Thread, and at £9 for a full-colour E27 it's the UK bargain of the year — no IKEA hub needed. Joins Home Assistant's local Matter integration directly via any Thread border router (e.g. a Home Assistant Connect ZBT-2 or Apple TV).
