A tunable-white Zigbee 3.0 GU10 that pairs straight to Zigbee2MQTT or ZHA with no Innr bridge and no cloud. It is a white-only spot (warm to cool), so skip it if you want colour. The pairing quirk is real: you factory reset by power-cycling the bulb six times, which is fiddly in a recessed fitting on a ladder. Also check what you are buying: Innr has since released newer Comfort GU10 revisions with different lumen and wattage figures, and one UK retailer listing for the RS 229 T-4 pack said it was no longer available.
What can Home Assistant control on the Innr Smart Spot Comfort GU10 (RS 229 T)?
| Control | Type | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Light | Light | On/off, brightness and colour temperature across 200–454 mireds. |
| Effect | Select | Write-only effects such as blink, breathe and colorloop; the current effect is not reported back. |
| Power-on behaviour | Select | Choose off, on, toggle or previous state after a power cut, useful for GU10s on a wall switch. |
| Firmware | Update | OTA updates via Zigbee2MQTT. |
Z2M exposes a light (state, brightness 0–254, colour temperature 200–454 mireds, colour XY) plus an effect (blink, breathe, okay, channel_change, colorloop and similar, write-only and not reported back), power_on_behavior (off, on, toggle, previous) and OTA updates. Documented quirks: brightness move/step stops at minimum and won't turn the light on, so use the _onoff variants; timed-off depends on firmware and some units need both on_time and off_wait_time; transitions default to 0 s. Pairing mode raises the bulb to full brightness, which is your cue it has joined.

- Which protocol does the Innr Smart Spot Comfort GU10 (RS 229 T) use, and do I need a hub?
- The Innr Smart Spot Comfort GU10 (RS 229 T) uses Zigbee. To pair it with Home Assistant you need a Zigbee coordinator (for example a SkyConnect/ZBT-1 or Sonoff dongle) attached to your Home Assistant host. Innr's own hub is not required when you integrate through Zigbee2MQTT or ZHA.
