Versus the pricier E340, you lose the second parcel-view lens and the HomeBase hub entirely: the C30's 5,000mAh battery is sealed in rather than swappable, so a flat battery means unmounting the whole doorbell to recharge via cable. 2K FHD video is sharp enough for face recognition at the door, but with no local hub buffering events, the usual eufy caveats — no official Works with Home Assistant certification, community-only integration — bite harder here. Best for renters and first-time buyers wanting cheap doorbell alerts, not a serious HA security node.

Because the C30 has no HomeBase, it has no local buffer to fall back on — every event, motion clip, and doorbell press has to survive the P2P bridge and eufy's cloud round-trip before the integration ever sees it, so a dropped Wi-Fi or cloud hiccup isn't a delayed entity update, it's a missed event entirely. Open issues on the integration's tracker specific to this doorbell line note that the camera entity frequently returns no live feed and no event snapshot image in HA, even though the doorbell-press and motion binary sensors fire reliably — treat this doorbell as an event trigger, not a visual-verification source, inside HA. Auto-reply and home/away mode switching, exposed for other eufy cameras, aren't implemented for this model.
