Our verdict
A dual-band Wi-Fi 6 mesh with gigabit ports, set up entirely through the eero app. It is dead simple and reliable, but it is cloud-managed, has no web interface, and eero Secure is a subscription. Home Assistant gets only a community integration.
What can Home Assistant control on the Amazon eero 6+?
No core Home Assistant eero integration was verified. Community HACS trackers exist but are cloud based, so do not expect local control.

Frequently asked questions
- Does the Amazon eero 6+ work with Home Assistant locally?
- Partly. The Amazon eero 6+ connects to Home Assistant through a community integration installed through HACS, which relies on the Amazon cloud. It works in Home Assistant, but commands go via the internet and stop working during an outage of your connection or the Amazon service.
- Which protocol does the Amazon eero 6+ use, and do I need a hub?
- The Amazon eero 6+ uses Wi-Fi. To pair it with Home Assistant you need no hub — it joins your Wi-Fi network directly. Amazon's own hub is not required when you integrate through a community integration installed through HACS.
