Our verdict
A wire-free all-wheel-drive mower for lawns up to 5,000 m², which Mammotion rates for 80% (38.6 degree) slopes, uses a built-in 4G module with a year of free 4G service, and cuts with a 400 mm dual-disc system. On 2026-11-01 Mammotion's UK page showed the 5000X variant as out of stock and was promoting the newer LUBA 3 AWD, so treat this as a model heading out of production. Home Assistant support is a community HACS integration that its own README calls a work in progress, and using your main Mammotion account in it logs you out of the phone app.
What can Home Assistant control on the Mammotion LUBA 2 AWD 5000X?
| Control | Type | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Mower | Lawn mower | Start, stop, pause and dock controls plus status. |
| Battery | Sensor | Battery level. |
| Map offset latitude / longitude | Number | Corrects satellite map misalignment on the map view. |
Install Mammotion-HA (mikey0000/Mammotion-HA) by adding it to HACS as a custom Integration repository, then restart and add it under Devices & Services. It needs Home Assistant 2026.1.0 or newer. It controls start, stop, pause and dock, reports status and battery, and exposes map offset latitude/longitude numbers to correct satellite-map misalignment. The README's key warning: signing in with your primary Mammotion account logs you out of the mobile app, so create a second account and share the mower to it. It also notes that discovery sometimes works with the account number but not the email address, recommends a Bluetooth proxy, and states the integration is unfinished with bugs possible. Not in HACS default; no core integration exists.

Frequently asked questions
- Does the Mammotion LUBA 2 AWD 5000X work with Home Assistant locally?
- Partly. The Mammotion LUBA 2 AWD 5000X connects to Home Assistant through a community integration installed through HACS, which relies on the Mammotion cloud. It works in Home Assistant, but commands go via the internet and stop working during an outage of your connection or the Mammotion service.
- Which protocol does the Mammotion LUBA 2 AWD 5000X use, and do I need a hub?
- The Mammotion LUBA 2 AWD 5000X uses Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. To pair it with Home Assistant you need a Bluetooth adapter on your Home Assistant host or an ESPHome Bluetooth proxy; or no hub — it joins your Wi-Fi network directly. Mammotion's own hub is not required when you integrate through a community integration installed through HACS.
