Robot lawn mowers that work with Home Assistant

Robotic mowers you can start, pause, park and monitor from Home Assistant. Support depends on the brand: Husqvarna has an integration built into Home Assistant Core, while Worx Landroid and Mammotion rely on community integrations installed through HACS. All of the mowers we cover run through the manufacturer's cloud, so each product note says what you need to set up and what stops working if that cloud, or your internet connection, goes down.

The most capable and by far the most expensive mower in the article: £5,299 RRP at Husqvarna UK (leasing from £151 is also offered). It is a wire-free, all-wheel-drive mower for up to 5,000 m² of lawn with slope handling up to 50% at the boundary and 70% inside. Husqvarna's page says you may need an EPOS RS1 reference station, sold separately, if you lack full cellular coverage, and the Automower Connect app is required to create the virtual installation. Home Assistant sees it through Husqvarna's cloud only. Be aware of how much of its feature set the integration exposes: the docs say stay-out zones are not handled on EPOS mowers, and they do not mention NERA at all.

A boundary-wire mower for lawns up to 500 m² and slopes up to 35%, listed at £349.99 at Worx UK (reduced from £599.99, so that is a sale price, not a typical shelf price). It runs on a 20V 2.0 Ah PowerShare battery that fits Worx's other cordless tools. There is no official Home Assistant integration; the community Landroid Cloud integration (HACS) talks to Worx's cloud. Worx's page lists the ACS obstacle sensor and Off-Limits virtual fence as optional extras rather than standard, and the page heading oddly says 'Landroid S' while the contents say M500 Plus, so check the box contents when ordering.

A wire-free camera mower for lawns up to 500 m² and slopes up to 30%, at £699.99 at Worx UK (reduced from £799.99, so a promotional price). Positioning uses cloud RTK correction, which Worx says is included with no extra subscription, plus Vision AI and V-SLAM. The Home Assistant story is the weak spot: there are two community HACS integrations, and the better-known Landroid Cloud one documents Landroid Vision zones and schedules as read-only. The newer Worx Landroid Vision PLUS integration covers more, but it is a small project (10 GitHub stars at time of checking) built on a cloud API that its own README says is not public and can change without notice.

A wire-free all-wheel-drive mower for lawns up to 5,000 m², which Mammotion rates for 80% (38.6 degree) slopes, uses a built-in 4G module with a year of free 4G service, and cuts with a 400 mm dual-disc system. On 2026-11-01 Mammotion's UK page showed the 5000X variant as out of stock and was promoting the newer LUBA 3 AWD, so treat this as a model heading out of production. Home Assistant support is a community HACS integration that its own README calls a work in progress, and using your main Mammotion account in it logs you out of the phone app.

Frequently asked questions

Do robot lawn mowers work with Home Assistant?

Yes, but the route varies by brand. Husqvarna Automower has a built-in integration, though you must create your own application in the Husqvarna Developer Portal and enter its key and secret. Worx Landroid and Mammotion mowers use community integrations installed through HACS.

Can I control a robot mower locally, without the cloud?

Not with the mowers we cover. Each one talks to Home Assistant through its manufacturer's cloud, so an outage or a vendor server change takes control away until it is restored. The mower keeps following its own schedule, but its Home Assistant entities stop updating.

Will connecting Home Assistant log me out of the mower's app?

It can with some community integrations. For example, Mammotion's integration warns about signing in with your primary account, so check the product note and consider a separate account with the mower shared to it.
