A credible euro-cylinder smart lock in the UK at around £236 — it clips over the thumbturn on any euro-profile cylinder with an emergency function, with an adapter for non-standard pins included in the box, so it suits most uPVC and composite doors. Power comes from three replaceable CR123 batteries rated for about six months, rather than the rechargeable pack Nuki's pricier Go offers. The tedee Bridge (~£67/€79, sold separately) unlocks HA's dedicated tedee integration and remote/cloud access, but it isn't your only local-control route: since firmware 2.1 tedee GO also speaks Matter over Thread, so it can join Home Assistant locally through HA's core Matter integration and a third-party Thread Border Router (Apple TV 4K, HomePod mini, etc.) with no tedee Bridge at all, and a community Bluetooth integration offers direct no-Bridge control too. No PIN keypad ships in the box either.

In Home Assistant

ControlTypeWhat it does
LockLockPrimary lock/unlock control; also exposes an intermediate unlocking/locking state useful as an earlier automation trigger than the final locked/unlocked state.
OpenService/actionUnlatches the door on Euro-cylinder installs, distinct from a plain unlock — available locally without the Bridge via the Matter/Thread and community BLE routes; on the Bridge-based tedee integration it needs 'auto pull-spring' enabled in the tedee app first.
BatterySensor (%)Battery charge of the lock itself, manufacturer-rated 6-9 months depending on daily open/close count.
Pull-spring durationSensorSeconds the latch is held retracted after an auto-unlock pull-spring event.
Pull-spring enabledBinary sensorWhether auto pull-spring is enabled in the tedee app; the open service only actually pulls the spring when this is on.
Bridge connectivityBinary sensorWhether the lock currently has a live connection to the Bridge; drops after a Bridge power cycle or DHCP IP change and can require the integration to be reconfigured to recover.

There are three routes into Home Assistant. HA's dedicated 'tedee' integration talks to the Bridge over local HTTP once you paste in its IP and a bridge-generated local API token — cloud tokens are explicitly rejected. Because the Bridge assigns its address via DHCP, that IP can drift and silently break the integration until you re-enter it, so a router DHCP reservation is worth setting up. Since firmware 2.1, tedee GO also supports Matter over Thread: pair it to a Thread Border Router (Apple TV 4K, HomePod mini, Google Nest Hub, Echo, or a SmartThings hub) and it joins HA locally via the core 'Matter' integration, with no tedee Bridge required. A third option is the community 'Tedee BLE' integration, controlling the lock directly over Bluetooth with no Bridge at all. Across all three paths HA also surfaces an intermediate unlocking state before unlocked, so automations gating on the final state can appear to lag by several seconds — trigger on the transitional state instead if timing matters. No PIN/keypad or user-attribution data comes through the tedee integration, and activity logs aren't exposed either.

Specs

dimensions
Not officially published by tedee (marketed as "the smallest of its kind"); mounts internally over the thumbturn with 3 screws, no cylinder swap
battery life
Up to 6 months per set under everyday use (tedee's figure); app sends a low-battery alert at 15% remaining
battery type
3x CR123 replaceable batteries — no rechargeable Power Pack option like Nuki's Go/Pro/Ultra
connectivity
Bluetooth Low Energy for app pairing, direct BLE control, and Bridge communication; since firmware 2.1 the lock also supports Matter over Thread, joining any Thread network via a third-party Thread Border Router (not tedee's own Bridge) for local Home Assistant control through HA's core Matter integration
bridge requirement
The tedee Bridge is optional, not required. It's needed for cloud/remote access and local HTTP control via HA's dedicated tedee integration — sold separately, ~€79 (~£67), mains or micro-USB powered, must sit within ~2m Bluetooth range of the lock, supports up to 10 tedee devices. Since firmware 2.1, tedee GO also supports Matter over Thread, which reaches Home Assistant locally via HA's core Matter integration and a third-party Thread Border Router (e.g. Apple TV 4K, HomePod mini, Google Nest Hub, Echo, or a SmartThings hub) — no tedee Bridge involved.
keypad or fingerprint
None built in — tedee Keypad PRO sold separately for PIN entry; no fingerprint reader offered
cylinder compatibility
Fits European/euro-profile cylinders with an emergency function; flat keys only (not tubular); a small pin-length adapter for non-standard cylinders ships in the box
