The newer sibling to the H1 switches already on this site — H2 adds Thread and Matter on top of Zigbee, so it can join a Matter fabric directly instead of needing the Aqara hub for HA visibility. Still needs a neutral wire for this 2-in-1 variant, and it's a bare switch frame — budget for your own faceplate to match the rest of your wall plates.
In Home Assistant
Dual connectivity: can be commissioned either as a Zigbee device (via an Aqara hub or ZHA/Zigbee2MQTT, same pattern as the H1 switches already covered here) or joined directly to a Matter fabric over Thread, in which case it shows up through HA's native Matter integration without needing any hub at all. Which mode is active is chosen once during setup, not switchable per-session.
