Aqara Radiator Thermostat E1
Zigbee2MQTT / ZHALocal control
- Zigbee
Verified July 2026
A neat, quiet Zigbee TRV that pairs straight into Zigbee2MQTT or ZHA (model SRTS-A01) with no Aqara hub needed — fully local and well supported. A good mid-budget choice if you want something better-finished than the Sonoff without paying tado money.
In Home Assistant
| Control | Type | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Target temperature | Number | Set the heating setpoint |
| Preset | Selector (manual/away/auto) | Choose the operating mode |
| Window open | Binary sensor | Built-in detection of a sudden temperature drop — no separate contact sensor needed |
Zigbee2MQTT exposes the valve's own window_open detection as a binary attribute — built into the TRV's firmware from a sudden temperature drop, not a separate contact sensor — so an automation can drop the setpoint to away/eco the moment a window opens with zero extra hardware. Worth knowing if you're on ZHA rather than Zigbee2MQTT: climate.turn_off doesn't fully retract the valve into true off/summer mode there, a gap that doesn't exist on the Zigbee2MQTT path.
