Aqara's 2025 TRV launched specifically for the UK market, and unlike the older E1 it does Thread: flip it to Thread mode and it joins Home Assistant over Matter with no Aqara hub at all. At £49.99 it undercuts the tado X radiator valve while matching the no-hub trick.
