Buy this only if your back box genuinely has no neutral wire — if it does, get the ZBMINIR2 sibling instead: similar price, 10A instead of 6A, and it works as a Zigbee router rather than an end device, which does more for mesh coverage. Like any no-neutral relay, it bleeds a trickle of current through the load to stay powered, so some dimmable LED drivers flicker or won't fully switch off; SONOFF rates it down to 3W with no bypass capacitor required, but cheap dimmable bulbs are still worth testing first. At roughly £14, it's the going rate for a no-neutral Zigbee relay.

Set external_trigger_mode (edge/pulse/following-on/following-off) to match your existing rocker or momentary switch wiring, and flip on detach_relay_mode if you want the wall switch to stop physically gating the relay — instead it fires a stateless action event (with state_action enabled) that HA can use as a trigger while the Zigbee relay stays live and independently controllable. Several ZBMINIL2 units are reported dropping off the mesh after ~30-40 seconds or ~30 minutes while still echoing correct state locally, requiring a manual re-pair (flip the physical switch 5x); check firmware is at least 1.3.0, since earlier releases had a documented power-on-behavior bug.
