The neutral-wire sibling of the ZBMINIL2: 10A, acts as a Zigbee router that strengthens your mesh, and adds detach mode and turbo antenna mode in Zigbee2MQTT. If your back box has a neutral, buy this over the L2 every time. It shares its tiny 39.5x33x16.8mm shell with the WiFi-only MINIR4, so both fit the same shallow UK back boxes — but pick this one over the MINIR4 unless it's a single-switch, WiFi-only job: Zigbee adds a mesh-strengthening router instead of another WiFi device, skips reliance on a third-party HACS integration, and keeps working locally if broadband drops. MINIR4 only wins on unit price if you have no Zigbee coordinator yet.

Detach relay modeSwitchKeep the physical switch independent of relay state
Turbo modeSwitchBoost radio TX power for a stronger Zigbee mesh signal
External trigger modeSelector (edge/pulse/follow)Choose how the physical switch input behaves

Zigbee2MQTT exposes power-on-behaviour, network-indicator, a turbo radio-power mode, delayed-power-on timing, detach-relay mode and an external-trigger mode (edge/pulse/follow) with a dedicated action entity for switch-toggle events. Set external_trigger_mode to edge alongside detach_relay_mode and the existing wall switch fires the action entity as a pure momentary trigger without toggling the relay — letting an automation drive a smart bulb group independently of the physical switch, something relay-only Zigbee modules can't do. Detach mode has had repeat regressions in Zigbee2MQTT dev builds, so retest after upgrading firmware.
