eufy's HydroJet mopping system is the headline here — a pressurised water jet plus roller mop aimed at ground-in stains rather than just a damp wipe. eufy does add Matter support on this model, but it's documented only for Apple Home room-cleaning control, not Home Assistant — HA's own Matter integration doesn't yet reliably expose vacuum-specific entities, so treat this as cloud/app-only for HA purposes until that changes.

No dedicated Home Assistant integration for eufy robot vacuums exists (unlike Roborock or Dreame), and there's an open home-assistant/core GitHub issue (#148711) reporting the community 'Eufy' integration failing to pick up this exact model. The E28 does support Matter, but eufy's own documentation only covers Apple Home room-cleaning control via Matter — HA's native Matter integration doesn't currently expose robot-vacuum-specific entities in a documented way, so don't assume pairing it via Matter gets you working vacuum control in HA.
