Eufy has no official Home Assistant support, but the community 'eufy-x8' HACS integration talks to this model directly over your LAN after a one-time cloud login for its local key, so control keeps working even if Anker's servers go down. Model-specific: X8/X8 Hybrid only. The twin-turbine trick (two motors, one nozzle, marketed as 2x2000Pa) is a real point of difference, and at 34.5 x 34.5 x 9.8cm / 3.52kg it's an unremarkable-sized disc. Eufy doesn't publish a noise figure. Still widely available around £160-220 in the UK — pick it over a Roborock for cheap, strong suction; skip it if mapped cloud support matters more than price.

In Home Assistant

ControlTypeWhat it does
VacuumVacuumStart/stop/pause/return-to-dock/locate plus fan speed and work mode; activity maps to HA's docked/cleaning/returning/idle states.
StatusSensorGranular status string beyond what the generic vacuum entity state reports.
ErrorSensorHuman-readable fault description decoded from the device's error code.
BatterySensor (%)Also drives cleaning-time and cleaning-area sensors for the current run.
Suction boostSwitchToggles carpet-detection suction boost; a separate auto-return switch controls low-battery auto-docking behaviour.

The integration exposes granular status strings (starting, going to location, returning to dock, standby) rather than just the four generic HA vacuum states, plus a dedicated error sensor for fault codes and separate suction-boost/auto-return switches. Because Anker never opened the cloud path this reverse-engineered protocol relies on, room and zone cleaning aren't available at all — the robot builds a map internally, but never exposes that map over either the local or cloud channel, so there's no floor-plan view in HA. Setup has one known rough edge: battery and status read as zero/idle until the vacuum's first status push, roughly 1-2 minutes after it wakes, and UDP auto-discovery can time out if the robot is asleep, forcing a manual IP entry.
