Roborock's ultra-slim flagship: about 8cm tall with a retractable LiDAR turret, so it gets under furniture that stops most robots. It is a different machine from the Saros 10R: the 10R has the StarSight navigation system and the plain Saros 10 uses the retractable one, and the Saros 10 is weaker on obstacle detection, though reviewers still rate its navigation. Carpet performance and the edge mop are the headline strengths. The HA docs list the Saros series as fully supported through the Roborock integration, which prefers local communication, though maps and routines still go via the cloud. At around £650 on Amazon UK it is a long way from cheap.
What can Home Assistant control on the Roborock Saros 10?
| Control | Type | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Vacuum | Vacuum | Start, pause, dock and fan speed control. |
| Map | Image | Current map image from the vacuum. |
| Mop mode / intensity / selected map | Select | Change cleaning behaviour and which floor map is active. |
| Consumables | Sensor | Time remaining on brushes and filters. |
Uses the core Roborock integration. HA's docs list S, QV, Qrevo and Saros series as fully supported, with local communication preferred and 30-second polling; map data and routines always go through Roborock's cloud, and a cloud account is required. You get a vacuum entity, a map image, selects for mop mode/intensity and selected map, and the usual sensors; some buttons are disabled by default.

Frequently asked questions
- Does the Roborock Saros 10 work with Home Assistant locally?
- Partly. The Roborock Saros 10 connects to Home Assistant through a built-in Home Assistant core integration (roborock), which relies on the Roborock cloud. It works in Home Assistant, but commands go via the internet and stop working during an outage of your connection or the Roborock service.
- Which protocol does the Roborock Saros 10 use, and do I need a hub?
- The Roborock Saros 10 uses Wi-Fi. To pair it with Home Assistant you need no hub — it joins your Wi-Fi network directly. Roborock's own hub is not required when you integrate through a built-in Home Assistant core integration (roborock).
