Britain's favourite solar-diverting EV charger, and its energy data slots straight into Home Assistant's energy dashboard via the myenergi HACS integration — though it's cloud-only, so automations depend on their servers rather than local control. Stick with the 7kW single-phase model unless you have a rare UK three-phase supply; the 22kW variant can't charge any faster without it. Tethered and untethered cost roughly the same, so pick tethered for convenience. Budget £400-700 on top of the unit price for professional installation. If you own your home with a driveway you won't qualify for an OZEV grant — that's reserved for renters and flat owners now.

The CJNE/ha-myenergi HACS integration adds charger-status and plug-status sensors, session/today/diverted energy sensors, a charge-mode selector (stopped/fast/eco/eco+), and boost/unlock services — all polled from myenergi's cloud, so there's no local fallback if their API has an outage. A genuinely Zappi-specific automation: trigger a fixed-kWh boost when plug-status becomes "EV connected" and an off-peak tariff sensor drops below a price threshold, then let it revert to eco+ solar diversion afterward.
