Verified July 2026
The only Matter-certified UK extension lead worth having — four individually switchable BS1363 sockets with per-outlet energy monitoring plus surge protection. Use the local tplink integration for full power stats; the Matter firmware only exposes the switches.
In Home Assistant
| Control | Type | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Socket 1-4 | Toggle (x4) | Switch each socket independently |
| Power / Energy / Current / Voltage | Sensor | Per-strip metering — only via the tplink integration; Matter pairing drops these entirely |
The tplink integration adds four independent socket switches plus per-strip power, energy, current and voltage sensors; pairing over Matter instead only exposes the four switches with zero power data, and firmware below 1.0.9 had no Matter energy support at all. A confirmed open issue also means the strip's parent name doesn't carry from the Tapo app, so Matter-imported entities land as generic unnamed_p304m_* until renamed in HA.
