MOES's tidier Star Ring design line — a backlit ring around the rocker instead of a plain plate — on the same no-neutral-required Zigbee 3.0 hardware as their cheaper switches. It won the Red Dot Design Award 2023, so it's the pick if you want a Zigbee switch that doesn't look like an afterthought, though you're paying roughly double what the plain MOES switch costs for that badge and the ring. It's rated 10A at mains voltage (100-245V AC) and fits a standard UK single-gang backbox, but treat that 10A ceiling as a resistive-load figure rather than a safe LED wattage number, given the flicker behaviour already noted below.

In Home Assistant

ControlTypeWhat it does
SwitchSwitchOn/off control and reported state of the relay.
Power-on behaviorSelectSets what the switch does after mains power is restored following an outage.
Backlight modeSelectOff/normal/inverted — normal lights the ring when the switch is on, inverted lights it when off; no per-colour or brightness control.
Timed offNumberOptional timed auto-off parameters, useful for momentary/pulse-style automations.

Zigbee2MQTT exposes the ring as a three-way off/normal/inverted backlight mode, not an independently addressable colour LED, so it can't glow custom colours from HA, only toggle or invert relative to switch state. Early firmware had the backlight setting mapped backwards, so on older firmware normal and inverted may read swapped until you confirm behaviour against the physical ring. Because it's a bleeder-circuit no-neutral design, expect brightness flicker on LED loads specifically while the switch is on (not off) unless a bypass capacitor is added at the fixture, and note the device does not act as a Zigbee router despite having no neutral requirement to disable that.
