A wired (or RF-Key wireless) smart thermostat sold through Worcester Bosch installers, with hot water programming and support for up to 20 zones using Smart TRVs. It is not a shelf product: Worcester Bosch's page lists no price and points you to an accredited installer, so budget for installation. The Home Assistant story is the weak point. There is no core integration, and the community component reaches the EasyControl (CT200) only through Bosch's cloud, not over your LAN. Worth it if you already have a Bosch or Worcester boiler and want the OEM control; otherwise a tado or Hive is easier to run in Home Assistant.
What can Home Assistant control on the Bosch EasyControl?
| Control | Type | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Climate (heating circuit) | Climate | Heating setpoint and mode for the EasyControl heating circuit, via Bosch's cloud. |
| Bosch sensors | Sensor | Optional diagnostic and temperature sensors; all disabled by default and enabled manually. |
Install the bosch-thermostat custom component through HACS and add 'Bosch' under Devices & Services; for the EasyControl it connects over XMPP to Bosch's cloud, so it needs internet and your Bosch account details and cannot run locally (local HTTP is IVT-only). By default all sensors are created disabled under a 'Bosch sensors' device, so you must enable the ones you want. The README says it needs a recent HA (2025.7+) and a second maintainer, so expect breakage if Bosch changes its cloud. Do not confuse it with the core Bosch SHC integration, which is for the Smart Home Controller ecosystem and does not mention EasyControl.

Frequently asked questions
- Does the Bosch EasyControl work with Home Assistant locally?
- Partly. The Bosch EasyControl connects to Home Assistant through a community integration installed through HACS (Bosch (bosch-thermostat custom component)), which relies on the Bosch (Worcester Bosch) cloud. It works in Home Assistant, but commands go via the internet and stop working during an outage of your connection or the Bosch (Worcester Bosch) service.
- Which protocol does the Bosch EasyControl use, and do I need a hub?
- The Bosch EasyControl uses Wi-Fi. To pair it with Home Assistant you need no hub — it joins your Wi-Fi network directly. Bosch (Worcester Bosch)'s own hub is not required when you integrate through a community integration installed through HACS (Bosch (bosch-thermostat custom component)).
