The obvious add-on once you already run a Wiser HeatHub: around £49 a radiator, quiet, and fully controllable per-room in Home Assistant via the local-API wiser HACS integration. It ships with two adapters covering roughly 90-95% of UK valve bodies — standard M30x1.5mm valves (Drayton, Honeywell, Pegler, Myson, Siemens) plus a Danfoss RA adapter — so most households fit it without buying extra parts, and its two AA batteries last around 12 months. Unlike the Kit 1 bundle, which gets you the HeatHub and one room, this is a zone-by-zone add-on, not a starting point — and it only talks to Wiser hubs, so don't buy it for a Zigbee2MQTT setup.

In Home Assistant

ControlTypeWhat it does
Room climateClimate entity (shared per room)Target temperature and mode, aggregating every TRV in the room — not a separate entity per valve
Room sensorsSensor (temp/humidity/battery)Per-room diagnostics

Control in HA is per-room, not per-valve — the wiser HACS integration aggregates every TRV in a room into one climate entity, so an automation reading hvac_action can suppress a separate portable heater the moment Wiser reports that room as actively heating, avoiding double-heating room-wide rather than valve-by-valve. It can physically join a generic Zigbee2MQTT network, but system_mode/running_state aren't exposed there and one report found the setpoint periodically reverting to 20°C — confirming it's built to run only against its own HeatHub, not as a standalone Zigbee TRV.
