Our verdict

A wall thermostat for electric underfloor heating, supplied with a 3 m floor probe and able to switch up to 16A directly. It works on its own as a programmable thermostat, but the smart part needs a separate neoHub, and retailers say it must be a second-generation hub or newer; it is not compatible with the first-generation neoHub. It is not for wet (hydronic) underfloor systems, so check what you have before buying. Price varies by seller and the retailer we checked showed it low on stock.

What can Home Assistant control on the Heatmiser neoStat-e V3?

ControlTypeWhat it does
ThermostatClimateSet point and mode through the neoHub API (model support not confirmed).
Hub APISettingLegacy API or websocket token must be enabled on the neoHub before the integration can connect.

No official integration. Home Assistant reaches it through a neoHub using the community MindrustUK Heatmiser-for-home-assistant integration from HACS, built on neohubapi, which talks to the hub's local API (legacy port 4242, or a token-based encrypted websocket on 4243 that works on second-generation hubs only). The thermostat alone, without a hub, cannot be reached from HA at all. On newer hubs the legacy API may be disabled by default and must be switched on in the Neo app under Settings > API. The maintainer describes the project as a work in progress done in spare time. Specific neoStat-e V3 support is not named on either source, so treat it as likely but unconfirmed.
