Our verdict
The bigger sibling of the CP900: 1500 VA / 900 W pure sine wave with a HID USB port, and the one with the strongest NUT paper trail, since the CP1500EPFCLCD has its own page on the Network UPS Tools list under usbhid-ups. The same caveat applies though: Home Assistant only reads it via a NUT server on the machine the USB cable plugs into. Runtime is 10 minutes at half load and 3 at full load, so this buys you a clean shutdown, not an evening of backup. NUT users note some values are unreliable, notably output.voltage varying from the LCD.

Home Assistant's NUT integration (Local Polling, default 60 s) cannot talk to a UPS directly: it needs a Network UPS Tools server running somewhere (host, port 3493, optional credentials, static IP or DHCP reservation). The NUT device page lists battery charge, charge-low threshold, battery type, ups.load and the beeper and load on/off commands, so most sensors you want exist. Buttons and switches for switchable outlets need a NUT user with instcmds permission; this model's outlets are not described as switchable so don't expect per-outlet control. The NUT report is old (NUT 2.7.3) and notes output.voltage varies and doesn't match the LCD, so don't alarm on that sensor. Use battery charge and status for the shutdown trigger.
